PINK comes to The Polish Mission!

Some of you may have lived through the dark years in Poland behind the iron curtain. You may remember how grey and lifeless the days seemed with restrictions on freedom to live, eat, work, and learn.  Sweetness and candy did not exist, and children did not even imagine the concept.

We are honored to be the venue that premieres the U.S. tour of Po Prostu (Simply) PINK .  Inspired by the liberation that changed the lives of all Poles in 1989, Agata Dworzak-Subocz created PINK to memorialize the stark contrast that she remembered during the transition from a country occupied by the Soviet Union to a free nation once again, and when she saw little rainbows of sweet candy.

See Pink at the Galeria, on July 23, from 6-8 pm.
